Wool Tallit
Way do we wear wool Tallit?
According to "Midrash Tanchuma" the Tallit is a reward for the sons of Shem which respected his father Nohach and covered him while he was laying drunk. On the torah there is a mitzvah of wearing a Tallit. All of the "Poskim" agreed that wearing wool Tallit is a mitzvah of the torah. The "Mishna Brurah" (Written by the Hfetz Hai'im) thinks that the mitzvah can be performed by any close fabric that it is way the Ashkenaz Jewish are wearing cotton Tallit and still the mitzvah that they make is according to the torah. Unlike the "Mishna Brurah" the "Shulchan Aruch"ordered that the only clothes that are must be with tzitzit is wool. This is the reason way every one that goes after the "Shulchan Aruch" wear wool Tallit if he wants to make the mitzvah according to the torah.
Regardless of what the "Mishna Brurah" says of wool Tallit of course he recommended every one to put on wool Tallit in order to be sure of making the mitzvah like the torah ordered even for the "Shulchan Aruch" opinion. There is no doubt that wool Tallit must be wear in the Morning Prayer (Shmah Israel prayer).
What is wool Tallit made of?
Wool Tallit is made from pure and fine wool of ships a Tallit. The wool Tallit usually comes in a basic white color combined with colored stripes in israel orthodox communities the most common stripes color is black or white, though recently you can see wool Tallit with pale blue stripes.
Biat yosef wool Tallit
The Biat yosef Wool Tallit is a Tallit that is made only from wool. As we said before, according to the "Shulchan Aruch" it is the best for the Tallit to be a wool Tallit. In order to make the wool Tallit to be more attractive the manufactures use to add some non wool fabric. Mishkan Htkelet decided to make wool Tallit that will be made only from wool including the stripes Attarah and corners. Rabbi Ovadiay Yosef gave this wool Tallit a special kosher certificate.
