Any ancient languages/alphabets from Germany that would have the word/letters for "discipline" in them?

Yes, this is for a tattoo, albeit a quite small one.
I want it to have as much personal value as possible, so I was wondering what kind of languages German evolved from, or what ancient Germanic people spoke. If there were ever any symbol-centered languages or communications, were there signs for the word "discipline", or anything close to that concept?
I really don't know languages, so I could be completely off here - sorry! Any information would help. Thank you!

Each symbol stands for a letter and a word, so I guess you could try to write "discipline" using the different symbols or find a symbol that expresses the idea you are trying to capture.
