can someone moving heavy medium sized boxes with a hand truck scratch up a floor and turn it black?

Especially if the hand truck went through a small puddle of dirty water. and is there any way to get rid of the marks, lemon juice don't work, and don't want to buy an area rug.
I think it was more from the metal flat piece of the hand truck than the tires, but who knows?

sounds like it had hard black rubber tires, If its a wood floor ,try murphys oil soap. if its some other floor you can try that or a cleaner recomended for the floor
