Advice on colors for area rug in living room?

Hi all. The place I am moving into has smooth concrete floors..kind of a beige color. I am buying a modern blk sofa set with silver metallic accents, and a blk glass coffee table. The walls are standard off white color.

Ideas on colors which would look good for the area rug?

You can go two ways.
1. Since you do not have any "real colors" in your room you may want to take the opportunity to introduce a new color/colors using the area rug as the pallet for the room. You can highlight these new colors with lamps, pillows, drapes, art, and pictures. What is nice is that your expensive items like the floor and sofa are neutral. If you get bored you can throw out the little stuff and start over.

2. If you want to play it "safe": and you are afraid of color you can find a rug that has the beige, black and silver colors in it.

Hearth Rugs

Every home should have a hearth.  But now with the modern technology of interior heating and cooling systems the hearth may have been replaced.  But the older houses do have a fire place that will be lit up to keep the entire family warm and cozy.  Since this will be in the main room, the place needs to be maintained well and kept neat and clean.

For this purpose hearth rugs are necessary. Hearth Rugs are fire resistant and contemporary in style.  Not only protecting your floor from fire it also adds beauty to the hearth area.  Olefin and polyester are the least expensive material rugs but they do a master job at the hearth.
