Can you tell me the name of late 1970's horror movie?

I was a kid and do remember some small parts of that story. There was a killer chopped a lady's head on the bed. Someone else found her headless and a head on the bed. In another part, someone rose by covering a rug and vanished down to the basement. My parents turned it off. I wanted to see the WHOLE thing!
No, it wasn't in state hospital nor cabin. It's a house where people were staying overnight. There was a murderer used slick or knife to chop a lady's head at outside of the house. Then, he came in another lady's bedroom and used his hairy hand cover her mouth. Male and Female came in the room and saw her headless and a head on that bed. They were freaked out and stayed in living room. Someone under a rug rose up and they saw it, but someone went down to the basement stairway. They followed down there.
