Rug Carpet Cream How do you get nail polish out of carpet?
A kid spilled 1/2 a bottle of nail polish on my cream colored area rug. It was already dried in when I found it. Tried nail polish remover, alcohol and ammonia and none of it worked. I need some other recommendations please.
Use nail polish remover, I hope it will remove but not sure. May be it make dull ur carpet.
Best thing is call somebody expert to clean carpet instated of doing experiments on your precious carpet.

How can I remove a Rust Stain from a Cream Wool Rug?!?
My dog peed on the leg of a settee that sits on a very expensive cream-coloured wool carpet. To make matters worse, it's not mine.
I've managed to remove most of the pee but the pee itself caused the leg of the settee to leave a heavy rust stain. It's paled somewhat as we've attempted to remove the pee stain, but can anyone recommend anything that might dissolve the rust stain without causing any damage or further discolouration to the rug?
I haven t heard of salt from carpet manufacturers ( either way, good or bad) but John is right , lemon juice GL
