Round Carpet

Do you need to remove quarter round moulding to install wall to wall carpet?

We noticed that in another room of the home where we pulled up the carpet, that the quarter round moulding was removed to install the carpet. Is this a necessity? We'd hate to have to remove this moulding.

yes, you'll damage the molding if you don't and with the wood contracting and expanding during heat and cold you'll see the edge of the carpet.

I am trying to buy two round car carpet clips to stop the carpet moving around?

Halfords & your local motor discount store will sell them, also if you go into a garage were there is car valeters I'm sure they have loads of them which I'm sure they will let you have!
I was a car valeter for 10 years & over the years customers use to pop in & ask the same question & I use to give them a pair!
