Over the last few days, my 11 month old son has developed nappy rash which is VERY sore looking and really red.
Usually to clear up his nappy rash (which only seems to strike when his teething kicks up) clean the area with cotton wool and boiled water and then use a little vaseline to help the rash clear. This time though, I've done all this and still three days later his bottom is still really sore looking! I've tried using Metanium cream to clear the rash and even though its brought it down a little it's not cleared it!
Does anyone have any other tried and tested methods of gettign rid of nappy rash?
PS. I've tried Sudocrem but that wasn't any good at all!
Have a look at this article on natural ways to cure and prevent nappy rash naturally http://www.babiesnappies.co.uk/controlling-and-preventing-nappy-rash-naturally/
Personally, I find the Green People Baby Balm to be a miracle cure!!
If nothing is working though, perhaps consult a doctor as it may be a yeast infection.

Neck Firming Cream-Discover The Secret Ingredients You Need To Look Younger
A neck firming cream must be uniquely designed and contain only the best ingredients. Many women have reported adverse reactions to firming neck cream. Most of the ingredients that the big cosmetic companies use are too harsh. They are known allergens and skin irritants. Here's how to avoid them.
Urea is one of the common ingredients that you will see in anti-aging, anti-wrinkle and neck firming cream. It is not particularly toxic, but it can be irritating. Its original use was to soften rough skin on the bottom of your feet. But, the soles are your feet are tougher; less sensitive to irritants than other parts of your body.
Read the label of ingredients on the firming neck cream you are about to buy and if it contains urea, be aware that it can cause irritation. In addition, read the warning labels and the directions thoroughly. Most of them will say to discontinue use if you experience redness or a rash. That means that the company knows the ingredients in the product are allergens and/or irritants.
You can get neck firming cream that works, without risking irritation. The most effective ingredient, with proven results, is a protein complex found in sheep's wool.
Skin cells are composed of protein, primarily keratin. Some manufacturers include collagen or elastin in their products. Those proteins are found in the elastic fibers, deep below the skin's surface. Over 90% of the skin cells that you "see" are made up of keratin.
Keratin is not an unusual ingredient to see in firming neck cream, but until recently, the only way to make it soluble was to use harsh chemicals or high temperatures which basically destroyed the protein. The skin's cells could not use it. A company in New Zealand found a way to soften keratin, without destroying it. They call their product "Functional Keratin".
Firming neck cream containing Functional Keratin has been shown in clinical trials to improve firmness and elasticity by over 40% in less than three weeks. You will notice that you skin fills softer, smoother and moister, right away. It will take a few days to see the "lifting effect".
If a neck firming cream is said to provide an instant lift, the effect will be purely cosmetic, not long-lasting. Your goal should be to improve your skin's health. Other than protein, the primary ingredients in firming neck cream should be antioxidants, plant oils and extracts.
Wakame kelp extract contributes to the performance of creams containing Functional Keratin, by increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid present in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a gooey substance that holds the skin's cells together, making it look firm and tight.
There are anti-aging creams for the face and body that contain these ingredients, too. They are excellent moisturizers, far better than the mineral oil and petrolatum that most companies rely on. In fact they are four times more moisturizing than the best lotion on the market. Be good to your skin. Before you buy neck firming cream, read the label carefully.
