I have a smelly cat problem?
I've got two healthy cats now aged about 18 yrs old. One is a bit dotty these days and the other one's very stand offish, so bathing them is out of the question. They have a good diet, no wet food and every couple of days they leave a very strong odor on my persian rug where they like to sleep. Im limited with what I can do with my rug and at a loss to know what I can do about it. Ive never had this problem with them before and am now having to limit where the cats have access to in my house. So my question is does anyone have an idea about what the smell might be and an thoughts on the rug?
They need a vet check. Foul odor can be indicative of illness. At their age, they could be having some issues with organ failure so I wouldn't wait about getting them checked out.
