Oriental Carpet Turkish How is the interior design look of turkish homes? Is it arab look-alike or european look-alike? Or both ?
In Belgium, I saw many furniture stores owned by Turkish inmigrants, and they seem to be mixed-influence, with oriental style sofas and modern style sofas. And it seems that everyone has carpets at home.
But I just don't know how the average Turkish people arrange their home.
Do they like modern design ? What about the lightings ?
What are the preferences of Turkish people, regarding interior design ?
My parents' house and my house are very modern.
Both of the houses are mostly white and with colored with pastel colors. We both like simplicity.
But i have Istanbul paintings and Turkish painters' paintings on the walls.
For the bathroom because i am a big fan of hamams i bought some hamam accessories. A lot of nice smelling oil and lavender soaps etc...
We don't like carpets we prefer wooden parquet to give some cosiness.
