All week she's cleaned
someone else's house,
stared down her own face
in the shine of copper-
bottomed pots, polished
wood, toilets she'd pull
the lid to--that look saying

Let's make a change, girl.

But Sunday mornings are hers--
church clothes starched
and hanging, a record spinning
on the console, the whole house
dancing. She raises the shades,
washes the rooms in light,
buckets of water, Octagon soap.

Cleanliness is next to godliness ...

Windows and doors flung wide,
curtains two-stepping
forward and back, neck bones
bumping in the pot, a choir
of clothes clapping on the line.

Nearer my God to Thee ...

She beats time on the rugs,
blows dust from the broom
like dandelion spores, each one
a wish for something better.

Custom Rugs – Design Your Rugs on Your Own for More Satisfaction

We have many varieties of rugs, with wide variety of colors, designs, sizes. Then why do we go for custom rugs? Answer is simple. Everyone has their own taste to decorate their home. Everyone has got different choices. No home is same as the other. That’s why we go for custom rugs. Customer that is we give the manufacturer as what we want, in terms of color, design etc. manufacturer or marketing agent takes the requirements and prepares the one we want.

What do they offer?
Size: Carpets or rugs which are available in the market may not fit the dimensions of our home. We can’t join pieces of rugs. That looks odd. The only way is to go for custom rugs. They can fit any unusual dimension of our home.

Color: In order to enhance the beauty of the home, matching colors is very important. Rug colors should be matched with home decor color. Readymade rug colors may not match with the home colors. In this case, the custom rugs are very useful.

Patterns: Although several patterns are available in the rugs, some times we cannot find what we want exactly. These kinds of rugs give us different patterns and also the pattern which matches the theme of the interior design.

Texture: We got the color we want but not in the right texture. Then we can tell the manufacturer about the required texture. The only problem occurs when the selected texture doesn’t suit the fabric. In such a case, you need to have a backup of three to four textures.

Fabric: Some people are allergic to some special kind of fabric like synthetic. They might have got everything in terms of color, texture, size, but if the fabric causes allergy, then it is of no use. Custom rugs allows the customer to decide what fabric do they want, for their rugs.

Shape: These rugs can be cut into different shapes like triangle and octagon etc., without changing the pattern.

Manufacturing Method
Chemical dyes and machine weaving have become common production methods for custom design. Hand woven rugs are of high quality.

Home Decoration
Some rooms may have many jogs like doorways etc, which interferes with straight paths. Cut them according to it. Pre-fabricate and bevel multiple borders before installing. You can save if you do more pre-fabrication. They can be used as a wall hanging or floor covering. These rugs enhance the beauty of the home.

Custom rugs can give you more choices than other roller rugs. Hence they are little expensive than roller rugs. When we are getting what we required, why should we compromise?
