I just had knee surgery and I'm stuck in my chair for the next several weeks.I am not artistic what so ever.?

I need something to do while I sit here.I have finished latch hook rugs before,only to put them in the attic.I have wrote letters to everyone I know,did my nails 1,000 times, emptied my bank account on line shopping.And started smoking again. My hands need something productive to do.Other then the rugs and needle point(what do you do with it when it's done?) I have no idea what I can create, while I sit here.Do you know of a project that I can do that will be useful,or productive? That can be accomplished while i must sit here.Please if you respond to this keep it clean and productive.I am going nuts being so idle.And as I said I'm a newbie to the creative arts. So something I can grow into developing is key.Thanks
