How do i get my parents to let me redo my room?

I have a pretty ok room size 11ft by 8ft and a closet about 5ft by 3ft. But the problem is about three years ago I was REALLY into Tinkerbell, so we got some multi color wallpaper,light purple paint and some dark purple curtains with a rainbow colored one to go around it.And now i can't STAND being in my room!I want a more gothic room like i found on eHow, i have around 90 dollars now and my B-day (birthday) is coming up on may 5, how do i convince them to help me buy curtains, a rug, new bedspread, (mine right now is pink satiny on one side and fluffy on the other) and maybe some pillows and covers along with an ENTIRE CLOSET. Long story my dad wanted to save space and built beds in the closet so its basicly a big hole in the wall. I know i'm going to have to cut some stuff from my budget, but at least help me try to convince them.

just talk to them about it. say like i really wanna redo my room. just be like im not into that kinda kiddy stuff anymore and im growing up. im willing to put in some money so it wont be all you guys. something along those lines. (this is how i got my mom to redo my room. she said it was good that i was taking responsiblity and paying for 1/2, she said that it was i sign that i was growing up)

Kids Rugs, Fun For Everyone In The Home

Years ago, rugs were rugs and there just were not too many varieties. It seemed like just about every home had some type of tweed rug, only the colors varied. These days, rugs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You name it, there is a rug for it.

One niche that has recently started to expand is kids rugs. The first kids rugs we probably remember seeing were the rugs that your child, or maybe you, first saw as a preschooler or maybe in kindergarten. The rubs were oblong, usually blue in color and off in a corner of the classroom. The rug had shapes like triangles, circles, squares and rectangles. It had numbers on it from 1 - 10 and surrounding on the outside would be the alphabet. When the children had "circle time" they were usually called to that rug to listen to stories and other such guided learnings. Also when there was indoor playtime it was a favorite place for the children to gather to play. What fond memories!

Now as you search the web and look at kids rugs, you will find that rugs for children have changed immensely. The varieties, sizes, colors, shapes are amazing. Some rugs are room size, others are just small throw rugs, other rugs are meant to be hung on the wall as art, and some are just fun.

Can you imagine being a little bou and having a rug on your bed room floor called "Camp Fire Friends". Your little pretend mind can be camping in the outdoors with all the wind animals on the rug, and yet you would be safe in your room. Or that same little child can learn his a-b-c's with an "ABC Animals" rug. For a more scientific minded child there are rugs with 3D pictures. There are pictures of block sets, and so forth. For the more down to earth boy, there are the usual cars, trucks, tractors and sports rugs.

For your little girl, she would dream every night about wonderful things after saying good night to her "Blossoms and Butterflies" series of rugs. The series of rugs are full of pastel colors, flowers, clouds, butterflies, rainbows, small pets and other things fun. What small girl wouldn't like a rug with dolls on it, or stuffed animals, or real animals.

Something that would work in any child's room, or in a play room or family room, is the "Joyful Faces" series. It is a well thought-out, creative, colorful carpet of smiley faces done in all different colors. What a thoughtful way to do some multi-cultural training.
