Modular Carpet

I have moved into a new house, and I am still seeing dead and dying house flies, where are they coming from?

My new house is a modular, I moved in the end of Sept. and now in Jan I am still chasing around house flies in the windows, and finding dead carcases on the carpets daily??

These are the larvae of the parent fly in better times, probably during construction of the building, who fed on the builders left-overs. Now there is no more food, but it is warm enough for the larvae to hatch. get a good insecticde spray and spray all areas daily, and I am sure you will kill off the remaining unhatched larvae and you will get some peace. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a floor or wall covering in tile or roll form and particularly relates to a woven face PVC floor covering.

[0002] A principal and inherent deficiency in carpets, particularly in commercial facilities, resides in the declining appearance retention of the aesthetic features of the carpet over long periods of use.

[0003] Further, many of today's commercial carpets have limited strength characteristics.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0004] In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided, in one aspect, a modular carpet, e.g.

[0005] Preferably, the carpeting comprises successive layers of various materials. The base of the carpeting, i.e., the side of the carpeting opposite the face side and in contact with the cosmo series floor

[0006] By utilizing the foregoing described materials, approximately 80% of the carpet is recyclable.

[0007] In a preferred embodiment according to the present invention, there is provided a floor or wall covering comprising a base layer

[0008] In a further preferred embodiment according to the present invention, there is provided a floor or wall covering comprising a base layer, a first PVC layer overlying the base layer

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] Referring now to the drawings, particularly to FIG. 1 , there is illustrated a covering, generally designated 10 , constructed in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0015] As illustrated in FIGS. 2A and 2B , the woven face layer 22 is comprised of yarns 24 that consist of a core monofilament or multifilament polyester coated with PVC or other thermoplastic polymers

[0016] Referring now to FIG. 3 , there is illustrated a method of fabricating a covering in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0017] Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 , the covering 10 may be provided in different forms. For example, in FIG. 4 , the covering is provided in roll form 30 , e.g., six feet in width.

[0018] The materials employed in the fabrication of the covering 10 enable approximately 80% of the final product to be recyclable.
