Home cinema, also commonly called home theater or home theatre, are home entertainment setups that seek to reproduce movie theater video and audio feeling in a private home. In the 1950s, playing home movies became popular in the United States with Kodak 8 mm film projector equipment becoming affordable. The development of multichannel audio systems and later laserdisc in the 1980s created a new paradigm for home cinema. In the early to mid 1990s, a typical home cinema in the United States would have a laserdisc or VHS player fed to a large rearprojection television. In the late 1990s, home theatre technology progressed with the development of the DVDVideo format, Dolby Digital 5.1channel audio ( surround sound ) speaker systems, and highdefinition television. In the 2000s, the term home cinema encompasses a range of systems meant for movie playback at home. The most basic and common system could be a DVD player, a standard largescreen television, and a home theater in a box surround sound speaker system with a subwoofer Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 184 Publication Date: 2009/11/24 Language: English Dimensions: 5.98 x 9.01 x 0.42 inches

One Response to Home Cinema

  1. Mike TV had this to say about that:

You have old car seats and you don't want it to look tacky? : )

I would suggest maybe trying to make it look like one of the drive in cinema's in America.
