What Is Carpet Dyeing
You may have the flowing situation: carpet is only about a year old, but it has ugly bleached spots or stains on it, or the sun has faded your carpet. Should you replace the carpet or clean it, or even dye it? Most of the time, the flowing stains are cleanable: red wine stain, wax, ink, rusty stain, pet stain(not too old), blood, grease, coca stain. If the stain can not be removed or it is bleached, then you can try carpet dyeing or patching.
For the very tiny bleached spot, you can just cut the bleached fiber strand. For the bigger spot, you either can try carpet patching or carpet dyeing. The color of the sun faded carpet can also be restored by carpet dyeing
What is carpet dyeing?
The carpet dyeing is applied in three steps: clean the carpet, pre-treat to neutralize and applies the dye. The dye lasts for the life of the carpet. It is color fast and eco-friendly. Dyes are translucent. It is not like painting a new color over the old color on the wall. The base color of the carpet interacts with the dye to create a new mixed color. Because the bleaching level of each carpet is different, there is no ready pigment for you to use. The pigment must be mixed on site. If you want to dye the whole carpet, the carpet should be wool or nylon, other materials can not be dyed. The new color must be darker than the original color. Dyeing needs a lot of practicing, so you better to choose a professional to do this job for you.
