How can I get permanent hair dye off my rug?

Last night I felt like having alittle treat and decided to dye my hair.It is a dark brown permanent hair dye, However although I thought i had protectedmyself and the rug, I have somehow got a 2p size dark brown splodge of hair dye on my beige rug.Any suggestions on how I can get rid of it? I am thinking that there will not be a way as it is a permanent dye.Thanks.At least my hair looks lovely!

Try dabbing a little white vinegar on the spot.

Don't use bleach, you'll just remove all color from the rug.

I once dyed my hair black in college (that was one of the dumbest things I've ever done.) and I washed my hair about 10 times and rinsed it with white vinegar and most that awful black dye came out!
