Will this method work to get soft waves work?

I was thinking of making two braid's in my hair before I got to bed to get soft braid's . Will this work or should I put four braid's in my hair and go to bed ?

i use 6-8 but thats cuz my hair is really thick but if your hair is thin you might want to put 4-6 braids and if its thick like mine you would have to put more or it depends if you want big soft waves or little ones. if you want big ones put big braids if you want them small put like 8-10 braids.
