Blue Oriental Rug

I have a deep blue oriental rug?

I started noticing little white "tracks" like a worm walked about it-some straight-some sort of round. I first thought of moths and sprayed, vaccumed it well, now whatever this creature is he is back. Has anyone else seen such a thing? If so Help! Please

have it steamed cleaned by you or a professional, perhaps if the carpet is 100% wool it could have a moth laying eggs into it , if it's silk it could be a silk worm going about. I cannot see it therefore it's rather difficult for me to tell the exact cause of it , did you just buy this carpet? was it new when you got it? did you hang it outside at one time? perhaps some bug has made a home in there ,maybe even a spider! think about all of these possibilities . Or it could be a thread been pulled out to make this groove , perhaps when you vacuum you don't realize it been pulled out ,check under the vacuum if you see a thread that belongs to the carpet.
