Don't forget basic things like ... uhm ... a bed. I dont know if you already include it into your budget but I can see you lose point totally for not having it. A dresser + mirror as well as study space is often what people would have in youth bedroom. Different shades and styles of lightning would make a big difference; I would recommend a stylish floor lamp, a small table lamp on your nightstand next to the bed and a good-sized one for your desk. If you decided your room to have hardwood floor (which it's nice if you do), spend money on a nice carpet that would help add color and pull the room together. Moreover, black and white is very classic and is a great combination but I would suggest adding another color to truly makes it over the top ( red is a very popular choice to go with those although my room is black-white-purple ).
