Antique Rug Bags "Unworn jewelry is a liability and NEVER an investment..."?
"converting that value into something productive is ALWAYS the right choice." says a guy from an ad for circajewels.com, and he emphasized the words I typed all in caps. He says theyre the worlds largest international jewelry company and that their "reputation is on the line every day."
Is that true though, because it doesnt seem to make sense? Specially since it aired during an episode of "Antiques Roadshow". If old furniture and dishware and rugs and medical bags and nail clippers can increase in value, why not jewelry?
He just wants your jewelry. I hope you don't expect these hucksters to say anything that may resemble the truth. Real jewelry should hold it's value. As far as the Antiques Roadshow, remember that they're not dealing with things that are only 10 years old or so. How old something has to be depends on what it is, but if it's less than 100 years it not a real antique. The cheap stuff may not, but it doesn't have anything to lose anyway. This guy put his commercial with the Antiques Roadshow because he knows that people who watch it are at least interested in old things and may have some old jewelry. He's targeting his commercial for the right market. Check the web site below for more information on jewelry. A quote from this site: "However, if you want a financial investment, virtually any financial instrument will give you a better return. Fine gems and jewelry always appreciate in value, but turning that value into cash is usually difficult. Buy them to enjoy, not to sell."

Have you ever wondered where and when this needlework hobby started? According to the September 1997 newsletter of the Crochet Guild of America, a researcher theorized that the art of crochet could be traced as far back as 1500s in Italy. However, there is no solid evidence for this statement.
But even so, we can only imagine that this craft has been around for the longest time. And it has evolved from making only home décor works to stitching clothes and other fashion accessories as well.
Reminiscing Crocheting can let you do a lot of things. From small purses to jackets and sweaters, there are a lot of options to choose from. But there are probably some hobbyists that are looking for those old, classic patterns that can usually be seen during the early 1900s or even earlier. To help you in finding those hard-to-look for patterns, here are some resources that you can check out in the World Wide Web.
